VOLUNTEER

Trailhead Advisor at Government Canyon State Natural Area: A Trailhead Advisor is a trained volunteer stationed at trailheads to share important safety, navigation, and interpretive information with visitors before they begin their hike. Familiar with both hiking and Government Canyon, they serve as an on-site resource, extending the support typically offered at the Visitor Center.

River Warrior Volunteer at the San Antonio River Authority: River Warrior volunteers are dedicated stewards of the San Antonio River Watershed who support ecosystem restoration, litter cleanups, and habitat maintenance through hands-on work at Confluence Park, the Mission Reach, and beyond. As citizen scientists, educators, and ambassadors, they promote sustainability, monitor water quality, remove invasive species, and help protect native ecosystems on land, in the water, and throughout their communities.
