AI Literacy Initiative
OVERVIEW
The AI Literacy Initiative is committed to educating and empowering the university community through a series of engaging workshops and events that will follow the EDUCAUSE framework for AI Literacy. These sessions feature collaborations with researchers from both internal and external organizations actively exploring the frontiers of artificial intelligence, as well as guest speakers renowned for integrating AI into their professional practices. The initiative aims to foster a deeper understanding of AI’s transformative impact across various industries and its application in a higher education environment and equip participants with the skills and knowledge to navigate and create the future of technology utilizing AI at the university.
The program’s goal is to advance through the following phases in an agile fashion to best educate and inspire the university community. Surveys, interviews, and community interaction results will be considered when advancing the community from one phase to the next.
Accomplishments:
- Presented the initiative to the University Community
- Coordinated AI Ethics discussion hosted by two university faculty members, attended by students, faculty, and staff.
- Sponsor presented AI Initiative progress to the Board of Trustees.
- Deployed a survey to understand the campus experience with AI.

MicroTech Talks
OVERVIEW
In an effort to build a learning community around technology on campus, MicroTech Talks are designed to use the expertise of campus and ITS folks and share it with the community. Anyone who attends can learn something new about the technology used in the classroom or workplace, find a new way to utilize current technology or learn how to make technology requests.
These sessions will be held online and feature various presenters who will share quick tips on technology in their field.
Accomplishments:
- Hosted six sessions of MicroTech Talks
- 27 technology presentations
- MicroTech Talk video has reached 174 views

Co-established and co-leads the technology learning community. Developed the community branding, website, email campaigns, and video content to enhance engagement and knowledge sharing.

Zoom Phones Transition Project
OVERVIEW
The Zoom Phones project aims to transition all university numbers currently accessible through AT&T transitioned under the new service, Zoom Phones. The transition to Zoom phones will introduce softphones to the community allowing for remote accessibility to phones. The transition to Zoom Phones will also allow the user to personalize their phone experience from what hardware they would like to use to managing phone services directly from their account.
Accomplishments:
- Transferred over 543 phone numbers to Zoom
- Ensured 491 user successfully adopted Zoom phone
